Mini-Mart Manager (Groceries and Household Items)

Responsibilities:

Store Operations Management:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the mini-mart, ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
• Monitor stock levels and manage inventory to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Ensure all grocery and household items are displayed attractively and priced accurately.

Sales and Profitability:

• Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and increase revenue.
• Analyze sales reports and customer feedback to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
• Manage pricing, promotions, and discounts to attract and retain customers.

Customer Service:

• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Train staff to maintain high standards of customer service and product knowledge.

Staff Management:

• Recruit, train, and supervise store staff, including cashiers, stock clerks, and cleaners.
• Create staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak and off-peak hours.
• Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to foster growth and productivity.

Inventory and Supply Chain Management:

• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock audits.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of groceries and household items.
• Manage wastage, expiry, and shrinkage to minimize losses.

Financial Management:

• Prepare and manage the store's budget, including sales, expenses, and profitability.
• Oversee cash handling, reconcile daily sales, and ensure proper accounting procedures.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards for grocery and household items.
• Enforce store policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment for staff and customers.

Requirements:

Education:

• Minimum of a High National Diploma or equivalent; a degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field is an advantage.

Experience:

• At least three(3)years of experience in retail management, preferably in groceries and household items.

Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in retail management software and inventory systems.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Financial acumen, including budgeting and sales analysis.
