Job Description/Requirements
The successful candidate will:
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve the bank’s microfinance objectives.
- Supervise and provide leadership to all Microfinance Officers, ensuring alignment with the bank’s goals.
- Monitor the performance of the microfinance portfolio and take corrective actions to minimize defaults.
- Oversee the disbursement and recovery of microfinance loans in compliance with the bank’s policies.
- Conduct regular field visits to assess the activities of microfinance teams and provide on-site support.
- Develop training programs to enhance the capacity and skills of Microfinance Officers.
- Collaborate with Microfinance Officers to ensure seamless service delivery to microfinance clients.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports to management.
- Engage with community leaders and stakeholders to promote the bank’s microfinance initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls in all microfinance operations.
Qualifications & Experiences Required:
- A bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, Community Development or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in microfinance, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Familiarity with rural banking and financial inclusion practices.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of microfinance operations, policies, and regulations.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and portfolio management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
