Job Summary

The Lydia Brand Officer (LBO) will be responsible for managing DKT’s Lydia brand. The LBO will coordinate and implement marketing communication projects, with responsibilities including Mass Media, Social Media, Trade Marketing, BTL Activities, and Public Relations. The LBO will also organize or prepare presentations and marketing resource materials, such as brochures, data, slides, photographs, and reports. The LBO will work under the Senior Marketing Manager to support marketing operations and achieve the company’s programmatic targets.

Job Description/Requirements

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute Targeted Marketing Campaigns: Deploy data-driven marketing strategies to grow awareness, engagement, and brand loyalty for Lydia products across Ghana, with a focus on the unique preferences of different regions and demographics.
  • Collaborate on Creative Concepts: Work with creative agencies/in-house creative team to develop culturally relevant ATL and BTL content that resonates with Ghanaian lifestyles and emphasizes the distinct variants of the Lydia brand.
  • Manage Media Planning and Execution: Coordinate with media agencies to plan, monitor, and optimize campaigns across OOH, Radio, and TV, maximizing reach and brand recall.
  • Support Trade Marketing and BTL Initiatives: Collaborate with trade teams to drive in-store visibility and brand prominence through BTL activities, aligning with both modern and traditional outlets.
  • Engage on Social Media: Oversee Lydia’s social media strategy in collaboration with social media agencies, leveraging each platform's strengths to connect authentically with consumers and increase digital engagement.
  • Monitor Media Performance: Track and report on media placements, ensuring campaigns align with objectives, budget, and brand messaging. Effectively manage all contracted promotional events and activities to benefit DKT Ghana.
  • Plan and Oversee Promotional Events: Organize memorable brand activations and events that reinforce Lydia’s market presence and appeal to consumers’ social lifestyles.


Other Duties:

  • Perform additional responsibilities as directed by the Senior Marketing Manager or Country Director, ensuring a high level of accountability and alignment with DKT’s strategic objectives.
  • Uphold confidentiality and integrity in all brand-related communications and business processes.


Position Objectives:

  • Drive Brand Leadership: Strengthen Lydia's position as a leading female contraceptive brand in Ghana, with a focus on making it the brand of choice for consumers seeking variety, quality, and fun.
  • Enhance ROI on Marketing Investments: Manage Lydia marketing budgets efficiently, delivering maximum impact with cost-effective campaigns.
  • Achieve Awareness and Sales Targets: Contribute to achieving overall sales goals by executing impactful ATL, BTL, sponsorship, and activation strategies.
  • Cultivate Brand Loyalty: Foster consumer loyalty and preference for Lydia, leveraging brand’s diverse variants to meet different consumer needs.


Position Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Marketing or a related field, with a strong understanding ofconsumer branding and behavior.

 

Work Experience:

  • A Minimum of 1 year in marketing, brand management, or consumer engagement within fast- moving consumer goods (FMCG) or a related industry.


Statement of Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Cultural Insight: Strong understanding of Ghanaian culture and consumer behavior, particularly within sexual and reproductive health.
  • Creativity and Strategy: Ability to think creatively and strategically, developing campaigns that speak directly to local tastes and consumer lifestyles.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively represent the Fiesta brand across various platforms.
  • Project Management: Proficient in managing multiple projects and timelines, from concept through execution.
  • Stakeholder Management: Skilled in managing relationships with agencies, vendors, and internal teams to achieve cohesive brand objectives.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with solid presentation skills.
