Legal Representative (Ghana)
Position Summary:
HIGHVIBES is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Legal Representative to join our team in Ghana. This role is essential for navigating the legal landscape of the music and digital content industry within Ghana. The Legal Representative will be responsible for providing legal guidance on various aspects, including intellectual property, copyright issues, contractual matters, regulatory compliance, and overall legal risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advise on legal matters related to music distribution, copyright, licensing, and digital content.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with artists, partners, and vendors to ensure compliance with Ghanaian law and international regulations.
• Provide guidance on intellectual property protection, rights management, and dispute resolution.
• Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations in Ghana and ensure company compliance.
• Represent HIGHVIBES in legal proceedings, if necessary, and liaise with external legal counsel on complex issues.
• Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks.
• Support cross-functional teams on various legal matters to ensure smooth business operations.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) and completion of Ghanaian bar exam; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a legal role, preferably within the music, entertainment, or digital content industry.
• In-depth knowledge of intellectual property laws, copyright issues, and Ghanaian regulations.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
