Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible, organized Legal Officer who would draft, review, and manage contract and leases to ensure compliance with legal standards and requirements, and administer leases throughout their lifecycle. This role requires understanding of real estate law, property documentation, and client relationship management. The successful candidate will also utilize the in-house PMS to manage client portfolios, track lease renewals, and support tenant and landlord relationships.

Job Description:
- Contract Drafting and Legal Documentation: Draft, review, and advise on real estate contracts, including leases, amendments, and service agreements.
- Ensure all legal documents comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct legal research and advise on property matters, lease terms, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Lease Administration: Oversee the administration of leases, including tracking lease terms, renewals, and terminations.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate lease data entry, monitor deadlines, and manage compliance with lease obligations.
- Resolve lease-related issues, such as disputes and claims, and guide legal aspects of lease management.
- Property Law and Due Diligence: Conduct legal background checks and due diligence on properties, including title checks, zoning laws, and regulatory compliance.
- Analyze and interpret property documentation, including deeds, easements, and restrictions, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Advise on property acquisitions, sales, and potential legal issues impacting property value and tenant rights.
- Property Management System: Manage the in-house Property Management System to ensure that all records are up-to-date, to ensure that all alerts, queries and report accurate.
- Update client records with lease terms, renewal dates, and contact history, ensuring accurate and timely information.
- Work with the sales and leasing teams to streamline processes for client onboarding, lease renewals, and retention
- Client Communication and Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for legal and lease-related inquiries from tenants, landlords, and property managers.
- Foster positive client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and retention through proactive communication and legal support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law
- Active Ghana Bar Association membership.
- 3+ years of experience in real estate law, contract drafting, and lease administration.
- Proficiency with managing a Property Management System or an CRM software.
- Strong understanding of property law, title checks, zoning, and real estate regulations.
- Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills, with attention to detail and a focus on risk management.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to manage client relationships and cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills
