Role Description
AALC is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lawyer to join our Accra office. This is a full-time, on-site role that involves handling a wide range of legal matters, representing clients in court, drafting legal documents, and providing expert legal advice. The ideal candidate must have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Litigation & Advocacy: Represent clients in civil, criminal, and commercial litigation at various court levels.
- Legal Advisory: Provide sound legal counsel to clients, ensuring compliance with Ghanaian laws and regulations.
- Drafting & Documentation: Prepare and review contracts, pleadings, legal opinions, and other legal documents.
- Legal Research: Conduct in-depth research to support case strategy and legal arguments.
- Dispute Resolution: Engage in negotiations, mediation, and arbitration when necessary.
- Regulatory Compliance: Advise corporate and institutional clients on legal risks and regulatory requirements.
- Case Management: Maintain accurate case records and ensure timely execution of legal proceedings.
- Client Representation: Act as a legal representative in negotiations, regulatory hearings, and alternative dispute resolution forums.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: LL.B. from a recognized university.
- Professional Certification from the Ghana School of Law.
- Licensing: Must be called to the Ghana Bar and licensed by the General Legal Council
.
- Legal Expertise: Strong knowledge of Ghana’s legal system, contract law, civil and criminal procedure, corporate law, and regulatory frameworks.
Skills:
- Excellent oral and written advocacy abilities.
- Strong legal research, analytical, and drafting skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet strict deadlines.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical responsibility.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
- Additional Requirements:
- Must be in good standing (no disciplinary records).
- Ability to travel within Ghana for court cases and client meetings as needed.
- Availability to work full-time, with flexibility for court appearances and urgent client matters.
