Job Summary

As a Full Stack Software Engineer at Decent you will lead the development of a Ruby on Rails-based application including APIs and front-end components and managing the tech stack running on AWS.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Writing and debugging code
- Efficiently monitoring the technical performance of all internal systems.
- Working closely with developers to improve product’s functionality
- Attending several meetings and contributing to the development of a company.
- Provide production support for the deployed product.
- Participating in code reviews and quality assurance activities
- Frequent participation in discussing estimations with the product team.
- Learning extensively regarding the codebase while improving basic coding skills.
- Write automated tests to verify feature functionality.
- Working on considerably minor bug fixes.
- Responding to all requests that come from the development team.
Qualifications:
- English fluency
- 2+ years software engineering / developer experience
- 1+ years hands-on developing with Ruby on Rails
- 2+ years experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL (preferably both)
- Possess a solid understanding of object oriented programming principles
- Fluency in Git and AWS services, including: S3, RDS, EC2, and Elastic Beanstalk
- Critical thinker and problem solver
- Strong team player in a collaborative environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
