Summary of Main Tasks and Responsibilities
• The person will be responsible for Sales and Marketing and advise the branch/unit head accordingly
Responsibilities
• Contact potential clients and create rapport by networking, cold calling, using referrals etc
• Foster and maintain excellent relationships with clients and prospects through regular follow up. Provide accurate and timely quotations and general account support
• Creating business leads and nurturing the leads into becoming actual clients
• Appraise the demands of customers and sell the suitable insurance covers
• Monitor, review, and report on key metrics to ensure sales targets are achieved and execute sales activity documented in a timely, accurate and professional manner
• Meet and exceed sale's goals through new product sales, cross selling and the retention of customers
• Sales administration and reporting
• Understand, promote and remain current on company underwriting guidelines, rating, announcements and memos related to changes in company policies and procedures.
• Follow up insurance claims of customers to solidify trust and safeguard reputation
Qualification Required & Experience
• A Degree/HND in Marketing or a related course
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Sales Representative in the insurance industry
• Strong background in insurance will be an advantage
• Excellent sales and marketing drive
• Strategic and conceptual thinking ability
• Must be very attribute, with good presentation, persuasion and negotiation skills
• Must be commercially aware
• Must demonstrate a high level of personal initiative and drive
• Must demonstrate an appreciable knowledge of insurance
• Must have appreciable knowledge of excel
• Must possess high analytical skills
• Must demonstrate strong professional networking skills
