Job Description/Requirements
POSITION: IS Officer
QUALIFICATION: Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Computer Engineering
EXPERIENCE: Between 2 and 5 years in:
- ERP system support, particularly Navision, Business Central and infrastructure management.:
- Solid understanding of Microsoft operating systems (Client and Server), network administration, DNS, DHCP, and workplace deployment.
- Knowledge of ITIL methodology and principles.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ERP Operations & Support (Navision):
- Install, configure, and maintain the Navision ERP system, ensuring compliance with corporate standards and security guidelines.
- Provide daily operational support for the Navision ERP system, including user assistance, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
- Monitor system performance and ensure system availability in line with established SLAs.
- Categorize, log, and track ERP-related incidents, diagnosing issues, and providing timely resolutions.
- Work closely with business users to understand operational requirements and offer ERP support tailored to local business needs.
- Ensure ERP system documentation is maintained, coherent, and accessible for relevant stakeholders.
IT Infrastructure & L1 Support:
- Provide first-line (L1) support for infrastructure-related issues, including network, server, and hardware components.
- Support and troubleshoot IT infrastructure, including monitoring of logical and physical components in compliance with safety procedures.
- Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of systems such as DNS, DHCP, and workplace deployment.
- Manage technical configurations and ensure that IT components function properly within the local environment.
- Work closely with external suppliers for the procurement and maintenance of IT infrastructure components.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT services, recommending process optimizations and automation where appropriate.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Act as a key contact between local business teams and IT departments for all ERP and infrastructure matters.
- Participate in local and global IT projects, contributing to the design, testing, and deployment of new solutions.
- Collaborate with both local and corporate IT teams to align with global directives and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Security & Compliance:
- Ensure all IT systems and applications comply with company security policies and industry standards.
- Perform regular security testing and audits for both ERP and infrastructure systems to maintain data integrity.
- Support the development and enforcement of IT policies, ensuring operational and security standards are met.
Knowledge Management:
- Maintain and update IT and ERP documentation to ensure that it is current, comprehensive, and accessible.
- Contribute to the knowledge base by documenting new solutions, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices.
Continuous Improvement:
- Provide recommendations for improvements in system performance and user experience based on feedback and system monitoring.
- Engage in proactive monitoring of both ERP and IT infrastructure to identify areas of improvement and efficiency g
