IT PROJECT MANAGER

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, software development methodologies, and application support.

Responsibilities:

Project Management:

•  Lead and manage software projects from initiation to closure, ensuring timely delivery within scope, budget, and quality standards.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and monitor progress against key milestones.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, testers, and stakeholders, to achieve project objectives.
• Identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and communicate project status updates to stakeholders.

Application Support:

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing applications, including diagnosing and resolving issues, and implementing enhancements or fixes as needed.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as updates, patches, and backups, to ensure the stability and reliability of applications.
• Monitor application performance and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Collaborate with development teams to prioritize and implement changes based on business needs and user requirements.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for software projects, including requirements, design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
• Generate reports and metrics to track project progress, performance, and support activities, and communicate findings to management and stakeholders.

Training and Knowledge Sharing:

• Provide training and support to end-users to facilitate the adoption and usage of new applications and features.
• Share expertise and best practices with team members to foster continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in software project management, including planning, execution, and delivery of projects on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall.
• Experience in application support and maintenance, including troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in programming languages, databases, and web technologies
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, MS Project).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
