Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities
IT Support and Troubleshooting
- Provide technical support to staff and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Monitor system performance and address outages or interruptions promptly.
- Assist with installation and configuration of IT equipment and software.
Network Administration:
- Maintain and manage the organization's local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN).
- Monitor network security and ensure firewalls, antivirus, and other protections are up to date.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues and optimize network performance.
System Administration
- Manage servers, operating systems, and backup procedures.
- Ensure data integrity through regular backups and recovery plans.
- Perform updates and maintenance of system software and hardware.
Security Management
- Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures.
- Monitor for cybersecurity threats and respond to breaches or vulnerabilities.
- Educate employees on best practices for IT security and data protection.
Procurement and Inventory Management
- Evaluate, procure, and maintain IT equipment, software, and services.
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets and ensure timely replacements or upgrades.
Project Management
- Lead or assist in IT-related projects such as system upgrades, migrations, or new software rollouts.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT solutions and support.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain detailed documentation of IT systems, configurations, and processes.
- Prepare regular reports on system performance, incidents, and IT activities.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux, Laravel).
- Knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and infrastructure.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity practices and tools.
- Experience with database management and cloud computing (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
Experience
- At least 2-5 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar role.
