Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Research and source prospective clients and new leads
- Design and implement effective marketing strategies to sell Auto, Accident, Marine and General Insurance Policies
- Meet with Clients to discuss their insurance needs and recommend appropriate options
- Help businesses, individuals, and families select an insurance policy that best fits their needs
- Periodically reassess policy needs of clients, especially after life-changing events
- Maintain regular contact with existing clients to discuss renewals or add-ons
- Stay up to date with market trends and best practices of the insurance industry
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Assist clients with policy renewals, claims, and any changes to their coverage.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions and transactions.
Skills and Abilities:
The ideal person for this role will be someone who can:
- Effectively communicate, clearly and concisely conveying information to clients and ensuring understanding and engagement.
- Actively listen, demonstrating attention to detail and listening to fully understand clients needs and concerns while responding appropriately.
- Persuade potential clients to purchase insurance policies while negotiating favorable terms to both the client and the company.
- Speak confidently and clearly interact with clients while instilling trust and confidence in clients.
- Adapt and tailor communications and packages to suit different clients and situations, ensuring effective interaction across diverse audiences and mediums (over phone or in person)
- Identify and contact prospective clients
- Build customized insurance policies and packages that meet clients’ needs
- Has general knowledge of different types of insurance plans, including home, business, and automotive
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualification and Experience Required:
- Diploma Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year direct experience in insurance sales.
