Industrial Machine Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in factory equipment and systems.
• Perform routine maintenance of production machine pumps and motors.
• Prepares maintenance schedules and ensures adherence to the schedule.
• Identify preventative measures to ensure system reliability.
• Repair and replace faulty electrical components.
• Ensure electrical installations meet industry standards and safety regulations.
• Carry out machine checks to identify hazards, defects, repairs and adjustments.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeter, ammeter and voltmeter to diagnose problems

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with other engineers, technicians and factory hands.
• Communicate effectively with management and operations teams.
• Provide technical guidance and support to staff

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to all relevant safety regulations and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety inspection and audits.
• Implement safety protocols for electrical works.
• Maintain records of all repairs performed

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for improving electrical system efficiency and reliability.
• Carry out machine checks to identify hazards, defects, repairs and adjustments.

Skills and Qualifications:

• HND or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in a manufacturing or factory setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems and automation.
• Proficiency in using electrical software and tools.
• Experience with troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical faults.
• Problem solving and analytical skills.
• Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiar with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Experience with manufacturing processes and equipment.
