Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive indirect sales strategy to achieve business objectives in West Africa.
  • Identify market opportunities, analyze the competitive landscape, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Set sales targets and ensure these are met by the indirect sales channels.

Channel Partner Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key indirect sales partners, including distributors, dealers, and agents.
  • Understand partner needs and provide support to enhance their performance and loyalty.
  • Conduct regular visits to partner sites and participate in joint sales activities and events.

Performance Management

  • Monitor the performance of indirect sales partners against set targets and KPIs.
  • Provide training, support, and development opportunities to partners to enhance their sales capabilities.
  • Conduct performance reviews and implement strategies for continuous improvement.

Sales Operations

  • Oversee the entire sales process through indirect channels, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards within the indirect sales channels.
  • Monitor sales metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management.

Market Research and Analysis

  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
  • Use data-driven insights to inform sales strategies and decision-making processes.

Product Knowledge

  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the company's mining equipment products and services.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to indirect sales partners and their customers.

Competences, Skills & Experience:

  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in French or other regional languages is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and partner management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region
