Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive In –House Accountant with a strong background in accounting and operational support. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in accounting or finance, demonstrate excellent attention to detail, and have the ability to balance financial reporting with hands-on operational tasks. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth financial and operational functioning of the boutique hotel.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Financial Management and Reporting: Manage day-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable and payroll.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credits card statements and other financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts and financial strategies.
- Monitor cash flow and advise management on financial status and funding needs.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and file necessary tax returns.
- Operational Support: Collaborate with departmental heads (F&B, Marketing, Residence etc) to manage budgets and control costs.
- Handle procurement of goods and services, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Conduct periodic stock audits and ensure alignments between stock management and financial records.
- Work with the operations team to implement efficient financial workflows and processes.
- Support event planning and costing from a financial prospective to ensure profitability.
- Internal Controls and Compliance: Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
- Conduct periodic audits to identify risks and propose solutions to mitigate them.
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities as needed.
- Analytical Support for Decision –Making: Provide financial insights to support management in decision-making and strategy formulation.
- Analyze hotel performance metrics, including occupancy rates, F&B sales, and event profitability.
- Highlight trends and provide recommendations for cost control or revenue optimization.
- Team Collaboration and Leadership: Support staff in financial processes such as training managers on financial SOPs and budget tracking.
- Act as the point of contact between the accounting department and other hotel departments.
- Lead the transition to new financial systems or tools as needed.
- Organized, detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross functional teams.
- Qualification Required: (Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Hospitality/ACCA or ICA Certificate)
- Years of Experience: (3 – 5 years)
