The HR Officer will be responsible for the HR functions of an organization by ensuring efficient HR processes, payroll management, compliance with labour laws, and a positive workplace culture

Job Description/Requirements
Job Responsibilities:
- Creating and updating job descriptions in consultation with department managers.
- Reviewing resumes, conducting initial interviews and shortlisting candidates.
- Coordinate interview schedules and participate in interviews as needed.
- Onboarding New Employees: Facilitate orientation programs and ensure all onboarding paperwork is completed.
- Encouraging a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and respect within the organization.
- Maintaining and updating the HR database and ensuring data accuracy.
- Addressing Employee Concerns: Serve as a point of contact for employee issues and grievances.
- Conducting Disciplinary Actions: Assist in or lead disciplinary processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and labour laws.
- Facilitating Communication: Promote open communication between management and employees to foster a positive work environment.
- Conflict Resolution: Mediate disputes and conflicts within the workplace.
Skills and Qualification
- Must have a minimum Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years working experience in a similar role
- HR Management, HR Policies, and Human Resources (HR) skills
- Experience in Employee Relations and Job Description Development
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of labour laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
NB: Previous experience at a mining company would be an added advantage.
