This position requires a minimum of 7 years of operational experience in the healthcare sector, coupled with strong people management and leadership skills.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
- Direct and manage the day-to-day operations of the hospital, including administrative, clinical, and support services.
- Ensure efficient use of hospital resources, including staffing, equipment, and facilities, to provide optimal patient care.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance service delivery, patient safety, and compliance with regulations.
Staff Management and Development:
- Lead and manage a team of professionals, including medical, administrative, and support staff, ensuring all teams work together efficiently.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Work closely with clinical leads and department heads to ensure alignment between clinical and operational goals.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Collaborate with the executive leadership team to develop long-term strategies for hospital growth, service expansion, and resource management.
- Oversee the implementation of initiatives to improve hospital performance, including patient satisfaction, safety, and financial outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for new service lines, innovations in care delivery, and operational improvements.
Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage the hospital's budget, monitoring financial performance and identifying areas for cost savings without compromising care quality.
- Oversee billing, procurement, and supply chain management to ensure efficiency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor key financial metrics, such as revenue, expenses, and profitability, to support the hospital's financial sustainability.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure the hospital complies with all regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and healthcare laws.
- Implement and monitor risk management programs to minimize operational and clinical risks, including patient safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Develop disaster preparedness and emergency response plans in collaboration with other hospital leadership.
Patient Experience and Quality Assurance:
- Work closely with medical and nursing staff to improve patient experience, reduce wait times, and ensure high standards of care.
- Implement quality assurance programs and patient satisfaction initiatives, regularly reviewing feedback and outcomes to identify areas for improvement.
- Lead initiatives to optimize patient flow, reduce length of stay, and enhance the overall patient journey.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including government agencies, healthcare providers, suppliers, and insurers to maintain strong partnerships and ensure compliance with national health standards.
- Represent the hospital at public forums and in the community, promoting its services and building a positive reputation.
- Foster collaboration between the hospital and other healthcare organizations to share best practices and improve service delivery.
Key Qualifications:
- Education: A Master’s degree in Hospital Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related fields (MBA, MPA, MPhil).
- Experience: A minimum of 7 years of experience in hospital operations or healthcare management, with a proven track record of leading teams and managing complex operational systems in a clinical environment.
- Leadership and People Management: Strong leadership abilities with a focus on people management, fostering teamwork, and improving staff morale.
- Healthcare Knowledge: Working knowledge of the medical field and clinical operations is required, with prior experience working in a hospital setting.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff, patients, and external partners.
- Integrity and Ethics: High degree of integrity, transparency, and ethical standards in decision- making and interactions.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex situations, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions swiftly and effectively.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong project management skills with experience in leading operational improvements and hospital efficiency initiatives.
- Familiarity with health information systems and hospital management software.
- Financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, control costs, and increase operational efficiency.
