About Us: This companyis at the forefront of the logistics industry, offering innovative and comprehensive solutions across the globe. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Ocean Freight to lead our operations in Ghana and oversee activities in five West African countries.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of 35 FTEs, ensuring efficient and effective ocean freight operations. Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and profitability in the West African region. Oversee ocean freight activities in Ghana, as well as in neighbouring countries, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations. Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regional developments to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in ocean freight and management within the logistics industry. Proficient in both English and French, with excellent communication and negotiation skills. Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams. In-depth knowledge of the ocean freight market in West Africa, with a strong network of industry contacts. Strategic thinker with the ability to drive operational excellence and deliver results.
