Our client, a reputable logistics organization is currently looking for a highly qualified individual for the position of Head of logistics

  • Minimum Qualification : Degree
  • Experience Level : Senior level
  • Experience Length : 5 years

Job Description/Requirements

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the process of getting a product from one location to another
  • Managing transportation and inventory
  • Planning of the entire supply chain system
  • Managing the response to unexpected obstacles such as broken-down fleets, absent staff or damaged inventory without compromising quality, efficiency and or productivity
  • Managing multiple teams, with different personality and backgrounds
  • Providing strategic direction for the business’ logistics operations and activities
  • Overseeing and managing the logistical operations of the business
  • Ensure that all staff members carry out their assigned tasks as required
  • Ensure that operational objectives are met, through the management of day-to-day logistics activities
  • Analyzing data related to transportation costs, storage costs, suppliers’ performance, inventory control and other areas of logistics activity
  • Recommend areas of improvement
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients by monitoring and evaluating performance against agreed contract terms.
  • Managing logistics budget, including new clients and projects
  • Any other duties that may be assigned by the CEO


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Economics or related field.
  • Professional certificate from the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT)
  • Master’s degree in relevant field is preferred
  • 5 years plus, industry working experience with strong excel background
