About The Role

Our Client is looking to hire a Head of Marketing whose main responsibilities will be to lead and develop Marketing strategies for Ghana and Francophone Africa. This individual will oversee all aspects of Marketing, including Brand Management, Market expansion, Digital marketing, Product launches, and Customer insights.


Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Lead and manage a marketing team across three markets to achieve defined objectives.
  • Develop and implement regional marketing strategies aligned with overall business goals.

Brand and Product Management

  • Collaborate with the product team to successfully launch products and services.
  • Ensure consistent and impactful brand positioning that resonates with target audiences.

Market Insights & Innovation

  • Partner with strategy and insights teams to conduct market research and analyze consumer trends to shape marketing plans.

Team Management & Development

  • Build team capabilities through skill development and succession planning initiatives.
  • Encourage collaboration among cross-functional teams, including sales, R&D, and production.

Budgeting & Performance Management

  • Develop and oversee regional marketing budgets.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies based on performance insights.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including external partners, vendors, and agencies.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA is an advantage).
  • Minimum of 10 years of marketing experience, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role within the FMCG sector.
  • Deep understanding of FMCG markets, consumer behavior, and regional cultural dynamics.
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and inform decision-making.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing and social media platforms.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
