Job Description/Requirements

The Head of Global Financing Solutions is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and driving the business strategy and performance of the global financing solutions unit in the AWA region. This role drives strategic advisory and financing solutions across various segments, including Resources, Infrastructure & Project Finance, Structured Loan Solutions, Leverage Finance, and Principal Investments. The incumbent will ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service, robust financial performance, effective people management, and the execution of strategic initiatives



JOB CONTEXT



This role will play a critical part in driving growth and profitability for the affiliate by developing and executing strategic financing solutions across various business sectors.



Responsibilities also include developing and implementing a comprehensive growth strategy for the Global Financing Solutions team, including delivering of assigned targets for revenue, profitability, and market share as well as overseeing the financial performance of the business, ensuring adherence to budget forecasts and profitability goals.



The Global Financing Solutions business sits at the heart of the overall Corporate and Investment Banking division and the incumbent is expected to make a significant contribution to the overall CIB strategy by fostering strong collaboration and partnership with other divisions.



Key Responsibilities



Business and Financial performance







Develop and execute the business strategy for the Global Financing Solutions division to achieve financial targets and growth objectives.

Oversee financial performance, including revenue generation, profitability, cost management, and financial reporting.

Ensure alignment of business strategies with overall organizational goals and market opportunities.

Drive innovation and expansion in product offerings and financing solutions to capture new market segments and enhance competitive advantage.



Customer Excellence







Foster a customer-centric culture, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to clients.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored financing solutions.

Monitor customer satisfaction levels and implement improvements based on feedback and market trends.

Lead initiatives to enhance client engagement, retention, and satisfaction through innovative financing products and services.



Leadership and People Management







Provide visionary leadership and direction to the Global Financing Solutions team, promoting a high-performance culture.

Manage, mentor, and develop direct reports, ensuring alignment with core values and goals.

Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages diversity and innovation.

Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to team members.



Process, Control and Operational performance







Ensure robust risk management practices, compliance with regulatory requirements, and adherence to corporate governance standards.

Streamline and optimize processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and control.

Oversee the implementation and maintenance of technology solutions that support operational excellence and data-driven decision-making.

Monitor and manage operational risks, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.

Lead strategic projects and initiatives, ensuring timely and successful implementation.



Strategic Initiatives







Drive the development and execution of strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the division's market position and achieving long-term growth.

Identify and capitalize on emerging trends, market opportunities, and competitive dynamics.

Collaborate with senior leadership and other business units to align strategies and leverage synergies across the organization.



JOB PROFILE



Experience & Qualifications







A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in financial services, with a strong track record in leadership roles.

In-depth knowledge of global financing solutions, including structured finance, project finance, leverage finance, and investment banking.

Strong financial acumen, with the ability to drive business performance and manage financial metrics.

Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Proven ability to drive strategic initiatives and deliver results in a dynamic and competitive environment.

Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management practices.

Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree preferably in Business Administration, Accountancy, Marketing or related field of study. Executive training records will be an advantage.
