Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Greenhouse operations coordinator to oversee and manage the cultivation of high-quality vegetables in a controlled environment. The candidate will be responsible for the management of all logistics surrounding vegetable production cycles, post-production management, and third-party engagements. The candidate will also oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all activities related to sorting, storing, transporting, and distributing fresh produce from our greenhouse farms to customers. The candidate should have expertise in greenhouse operations, plant care, produce care, and sustainable agricultural practices, ensuring optimal crop production while maintaining environmental and economic sustainability.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Technical Operations:
- Plan, plant, and harvest a variety of vegetables suitable for greenhouse production.
- Monitor plant health and development, ensuring optimal growing conditions.
- Implement preventative pest and disease management techniques
- Manage climate control systems, including temperature, humidity, and ventilation, to create ideal growing conditions.
- Monitor and maintain irrigation and nutrient delivery systems.
- Operate and maintain greenhouse equipment and tools.
- Implement greenhouse sanitation protocols for site, people, and equipment
- Analyze soil, cocopeat, and plant nutrient needs and implement proper fertilization programs.
- Rotate crops as needed to ensure growing medium health (soil/cocopeats) and prevent nutrient depletion.
- Maintain accurate records of crop performance, pest control measures, and input usage.
- Prepare production reports and provide insights for continuous improvement.
- Supervise and train staff or seasonal workers involved in greenhouse operations.
Commercial Operations:
- Develop and implement logistics plans to ensure timely and efficient delivery of produce to customers, distributors, and retail outlets.
- Coordinate with transportation providers to arrange for appropriate shipping methods.
- Oversee the proper handling, packaging, and storage of produce to maintain freshness and quality.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate supply chain activities to prevent overstock or shortages.
- Maintain strong relationships with buyers, distributors, and retailers to understand delivery expectations and resolve logistical issues.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with logistics service providers to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or a related field.
- Proven experience in greenhouse vegetable farming or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of plant biology, soil science, and pest management.
- Familiarity with greenhouse technologies such as drip irrigation, and climate control systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational and problem-solving skills.
