The Graphic Designer will be responsible for developing and interpreting artistic concepts for a variety of print and electronic media. They will work closely with the creative team and clients to ensure that design work meets brand goals, is visually appealing, and meets the requirements outlined in client briefs. Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Creative Concept Development:

  • Interpret client briefs and create innovative design concepts that align with their vision and objectives.
  • Ensure that the creative output communicates the brand’s message effectively and resonates with the target audience.
  • Stay up-to-date with design trends, techniques, and new technologies to bring fresh ideas to the table.


Brand Strategy Collaboration:

  • Work with the team to assist in creating brand strategies, ensuring that design work reflects the identity and goals of the client's brand.
  • Help develop consistent and cohesive visual branding across all platforms (print, digital, social media).


Design & Layout Creation:

  • Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts for various print and digital media (brochures, social media graphics, websites, advertisements, etc.).
  • Develop visual assets for marketing materials, ensuring that they are engaging and on- brand.
  • Modify designs based on feedback, and ensure that all visuals are high-quality and aligned with the client's expectations.


Brainstorming & Collaboration:

  • Actively participate in brainstorming sessions to contribute ideas and solutions for ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Collaborate with other designers, marketers, and project managers to ensure smooth communication and execution of design projects.


Project Management & Delivery:

  • Prioritize and manage multiple design projects while adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
  • Ensure that designs are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Review final outputs to ensure they meet design specifications, quality standards, and client requirements.


Image Retouching & Editing:

  • Perform image editing, retouching, and manipulation as required, ensuring images are optimized for print and digital use.
  • Work with various media and ensure designs are prepared for use in a wide variety of formats and sizes.


Use of Graphic Design Software:

  • Proficiently use graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) to create high-quality designs.
  • Keep updated with the latest tools, techniques, and software updates to improve efficiency and the quality of designs produced.


Quality Control:

  • Ensure all design deliverables meet the company’s quality standards and the clients’ expectations.
  • Pay attention to detail and proof all design materials before final delivery.


Client Interaction:

  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and expectations.
  • Present design concepts to clients and provide revisions based on client feedback, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients through responsive communication and high-quality work.


Continuous Learning & Improvement:

  • Continuously improve design skills by attending training sessions, keeping up with industry trends, and seeking feedback from peers and supervisors.
  • Take initiative in learning new techniques and exploring new design tools to stay competitive in the industry.


Qualifications:

  • Education: A minimum of Higher National Diploma (HND) in Graphic Design or a related field.


Experience:

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in both print and digital design.
  • Portfolio showcasing a range of design work, including branding, web design, print materials, and digital media.


Skills:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of design principles (color theory, typography, layout, etc.).
  • Experience in image manipulation and retouching.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team.
