Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Food & Beverage manager who can oversee day-to-day operations, hire and train qualified staff members, and maintain high food and beverage standards. The Food & Beverage manager will also be responsible for developing a positive brand image through consistent customer interaction and service and a strong understanding of restaurant protocol.

Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify food and beverage distributors, estimate food and beverage needs, placeĀ orders with distributors, and schedule deliveries of food, beverages, and supplies.
- Conduct assessment of food and beverage inventory levels.
- Ensure consistent high quality of food preparation and service.
- Maintain a professional restaurant image including cleanliness, appropriate dressing and appearance standards of staff, etc.
- Enforce sanitary practices for food and beverage handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen, dinning, bar and grilling areas.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of restaurant staffing needs, prepare work schedules and ensure the restaurant is staffed at all times.
- Ensure positive guest service by responding promptly to complaints by dissatisfied guests.
- Ensure that proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, guests, and company assets.
- Ensure a safe working environment for restaurant staff and guests at all times.
- Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues.
- Participate in the hiring, supervision, development and termination of employees as needed.
- Provide a strong presence in the Damongo and surrounding communities and a high level of community involvement by restaurant and personnel.
- Maintain a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which is conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
- Keep the General Manager fully informed of all issues (e.g. problems, unusual matters of significance and positive events) and take prompt corrective action where necessary or suggest alternative courses of action.
Qualifications
- A Degree in hospitality or related discipline.
- At least 5 years work experience in the hospitality industry or a combination of relevant work experience and educational accomplishments.
- Strong computing skills (Microsoft Office, point of sale systems, inventory management systems etc.).
- Proficiency in the following dimensions of restaurant functions: food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports.
- Experience in building and maintaining positive business relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills including multitasking, time management, and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
- Strong innovative and entrepreneurial skills.
- Strong managerial, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
