Fleet Support-Data Analyst

Responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Collect, analyze, and interpret fleet data using tools like Excel, Tableau, or PowerBi to provide insights for optimization.
• Generate regular reports on vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and driver performance.

Data Systems Management:

• Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of fleet management software, ensuring all vehicle and trip data is up-to-date.
• Implement and maintain data collection processes and procedures.

Asset Tracking & Monitoring

• Liaise with tracking company to acquire tracking devices.
• Assist with maintaining tracker uptime by monitoring vehicles on the tracking software system and alerting team of any inactive device.

Performance Monitoring:

• Monitor fleet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure targets are met and identify trends that impact operations.
• Provide actionable recommendations to improve fleet efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Operational Support:

• Assist in scheduling vehicles and planning routes based on data-driven insights.
• Support driver compliance monitoring, including road safety and fuel usage trends.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with the fleet manager and other stakeholders to present findings and implement solutions.
• Liaise with the finance team to provide cost analysis reports related to fleet expenses.

Continuous Improvement:

• Research and suggest innovative analytical tools and techniques to enhance fleet operations.
• Identify gaps in current fleet operations and provide data-supported solutions.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools like Excel, PowerBi, and Tableau.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data into actionable strategies.
• Background in SQL is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of fleet management systems or logistics software is a plus.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar data-centric role, preferably in fleet management or logistics.
• Experience working with large datasets and data-driven decision-making.

Technical Expertise:

• Basic understanding of vehicle operations and maintenance.
• Familiarity with fuel consumption analysis, GPS tracking, and telematics systems is a plus.
