Job Summary

The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring effective financial planning, accurate reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves budgeting, risk management, and providing strategic financial insights to support business goals. The Finance Manager will lead the finance team and collaborate with other departments to drive financial efficiency and organizational success.

Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Budgeting

  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate financial performance against plans.
  • Perform financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities.
  • Provide financial modeling to support strategic initiatives


Accounting and Reporting

  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure prompt payment of statutory (SSNIT, PAYE and VAT)


Cash Flow and Risk Management

  • Develop a debt recovery system and initiate debt collection efforts.
  • Monitor cash flow both local and foreign and ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs.
  • Identify financial risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions.


Cost and Revenue Management

  • Analyze costs and revenues to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Implement measures to maximize profitability and cost efficiency.
  • Prepare and submit inventory costing on timely basis.
  • Assist warehouse on procurement


Risk Management

  • Assess financial risks and implement controls to mitigate them.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, tax, and financial regulations.


Leadership and Collaboration

  • Lead and manage finance teams, providing guidance and development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with organizational goals.
  • Participate in weekly zoom meetings


 Strategic Decision Support

  • Provide data-driven insights to support business decisions.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and assess financial implications of strategic initiatives.



Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Professional certifications such as ICAG or ACCA are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in financial management roles.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial software and systems.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Proficiency in financial forecasting, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Stress tolerance and sense of urgency.
