Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and motivated Fashion Design Assistant to support our design and production teams. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for style and detail, is eager to learn, and is passionate about both fashion and African-inspired aesthetics. Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in researching trends, fabrics, colors, and inspirations for upcoming collections
- Support the design team with sketching
- Organize and manage fabric swatches, trims, and samples
- Participate in fittings and take detailed notes for design revisions
- Coordinate with production, patternmaking, and sample creation
- Prepare client mood boards, color stories, and concept presentations for internal and external meetings
- Maintain design archives and databases
Qualifications:
- HND in Fashion Design or related field (or minimum WASSCE with a 2 yr sewing experience)
- Strong drawing/sketching skills and an eye for detail (Experience with CLO 3D, Procreate, or a good design software or Adobe Illustrator is a bonus)
- Basic understanding of garment construction and textiles
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills
- Strong communication and team collaboration abilities
- A passion for fashion, creativity, and African design identity
- Experience working in a design studio or fashion house
- Photography or social media marketing and styling skills
- Preferred Candidate must live around Madina, Achimota environs
