Job Description/Requirements
Position Overview:
A Leading drilling and engineering company is seeking an accomplished and highly experienced Head of Human Resources to lead its human resource functions. This role is responsible for overseeing and managing all HR-related activities, serving as a link between the General Manager and employees. The Head of HR will ensure seamless communication, proactively address employees concerns, and implement HR strategies that aligns with the company's business objectives. This position will also provide leadership and support for HR operations across various branches, ensuring compliance with company policies, labor laws, and industry best practices. Also, the Head of HR will drive workforce planning, performance management, employee engagement, and HR policy development to enhance operational efficiency and foster a productive work environment.
HR Strategy & Policy Implementation:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Design, implement, and evaluate HR policies, programs, and procedures.
- Maintain and update job descriptions and job requirements for all positions.
- Ensure legal compliance in all HR matters, including labor laws, expatriate employment regulations, and industry standards.
Employee Relations & Performance Management:
- Act as a key point of contact for employee relations, addressing grievances and conflict resolution effectively.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
- Support and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all sensitive HR and company information.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning:
- Lead the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to attract top talent.
- Develop workforce planning strategies to meet organizational needs.
- Conduct annual salary surveys and market analysis to remain competitive.
- Ensure proper processing of employment permits for expatriate employees.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Design, maintain, and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs.
- Ensure payroll processes and benefits administration are handled efficiently.
- Monitor compensation structures to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
Training & Development:
- Assess training needs and implement employee development programs.
- Oversee leadership development and succession planning initiatives.
- Encourage continuous learning and professional growth through workshops and mentoring programs.
HR Systems & Reporting:
- Manage and enhance the Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
- Maintain accurate HR records, including personnel files and compliance documentation.
- Provide HR reports and analytics to senior management for informed decision-making.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):
- Work closely with the HSE Manager to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental laws.
- Support safety initiatives, conduct risk assessments, and implement preventative measures.
- Assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents, ensuring appropriate remedial actions are taken.
Communication & Culture:
- Foster a positive working environment that promotes collaboration and engagement.
- Communicate HR policies and procedures effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Act as a bridge between management and employees, addressing workplace concerns and driving culture initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is an advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial or senior leadership role.
- Strong experience in labor and employee relations, including handling disputes and negotiations.
- Solid understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in HR software and MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in handling HR matters.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
