English Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the BECE results produce not less than 80% of JHS3 students score 1 in English Language.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English language lessons that meet the curriculum standards.
• Develop lesson plans that cater to different learning abilities.
• Assess and evaluate students progress through tests, assignments, and exams.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and parents on performance and progress.
• Organize and participate in school activities, such as debates, literary clubs, and cultural events.
• Maintain accurate records of students; attendance and grades.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the learning environment.
• Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, preferably in a school setting.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with digital learning tools and online teaching platforms.
• Knowledge of curriculum design and assessment methods.
