As part of our Election Observation Program, we are seeking passionate and tech-savvy interns who are eager to gain hands-on experience in observing election technologies and contributing to the integrity of election processes.

? Key Responsibilities:

• ? Election Technology Observation:
• Monitor the implementation and functionality of election technologies, including electronic voting systems, biometric voter registration, digital tallying systems, and other technology-driven electoral tools.
• Assess security measures and protocols to protect against cyber threats and ensure the integrity of election data.
• Observe the deployment of technology at polling stations, including the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of electronic systems.
• Evaluate the accessibility and user-friendliness of election technology for all voters, including those with disabilities.
• Analyze the efficiency and transparency of the technology used in voter identification, vote casting, and result tabulation.
• Document and report any irregularities, technical malfunctions, or security concerns that could impact the fairness and transparency of the election.

• ? General Election Observation:
• Support the coordination and logistics of election observation missions, including training sessions for observers on election technology.
• Collect and analyze data on overall electoral processes, contributing to comprehensive election reports.
• Work closely with international and local partners to ensure accurate, unbiased, and effective observation efforts.
• Attend and contribute to post-election debriefings and discussions on the role of technology in elections and its impact on election outcomes.

? Qualifications:

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Political Science, International Relations, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Strong interest in election technology and the use of digital tools in electoral processes.
• Technical proficiency and familiarity with election technologies, cybersecurity principles, and data protection.
• Excellent research, analytical, and technical writing skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, handle sensitive information, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to impartiality and objectivity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic understanding of IT systems.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours during election periods.
