Applications for the vacant position of: Deputy Manager - Electrical / Electronics Manager in a reputable food manufacturing company in Tema.
Job Purpose
• Responsible for the co-ordination and supervision of the day-to-day Electrical/Electronic maintenance and repair works
Key Duties
• Provide electrical and electronics management coordination and leadership in the repair, maintenance, servicing, rehabilitation, retrofitting of factory machines
• Responsible for daily availability of uptime of electrical/electronic machines with specific attention to PLCs factory process control and automation and general factory instrumentation
• Leads the installation and carrying out of maintenance and repairs on all PLC systems, speed drives, soft starters, inventors, HMI's
• Leads the repairs, maintenance, calibration and verification on all electrical/electronic critical control and monitoring instruments including electronic weighting scales, pressure transducer/transmitter, temperature transmitter, level probes, filling systems, flow meters and metal detectors
• Leads in the trouble shooting, repair and maintenance of factory and laboratory instrumentation and automation systems at all sections in the factory
• Leads in the preparation of wiring diagrams, electrical/electronic drawings and specifications for electrical/electronic modifications and installation works.
• Prepares monthly reports on electrical maintenance, repairs and installation activities
• Responsible for effective implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of the quality management system, HACCP in your area of improvement
• Contribute to quality policy and objectives
Supervisory Duties
• Interprets conditions of service to and handle problems of immediate subordinates and (where necessary) consults with appropriate departments
• Appraises the performance of immediate subordinates and review those for lower-level subordinates
• Identifies the training needs of immediate subordinates and organises or recommends appropriate training for them
• Administers disciplinary measures to immediate subordinates in accordance with the company's disciplinary code and procedure
Qualification Required & Experience
• B.S.c (Electrical Engineering or its equivalent with a minimum of 7 years post-qualification experience preferably in Food or Chemical processing or manufacturing plant
Technical Competencies
• Good knowledge of PLC's (Programmable Logic Control) / Automatic Control system
• Ability to read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams for implementation by technicians
• Ability to overhaul electric motors
• Knowledge of electrical practice
• Computer literacy in AutoCAD and SIEMEN's Computer Software
