Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, with specific expertise in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) or penetration testing (pen test). This role involves delivering high-quality training and mentoring to students, helping them develop the practical skills and theoretical knowledge required to excel in the cybersecurity field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging, comprehensive cybersecurity training programs.
- Design curriculum and course materials that meet industry standards and align with current trends.
- Provide hands-on instruction and real-world scenarios in areas such as GRC and/or penetration testing.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, exams, and practical exercises.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, tools, and best practices to ensure course content remains current and relevant.
- Mentor and support students, providing guidance to help them achieve their learning objectives and career goals.
- Collaborate with other instructors and industry professionals to enhance the overall learning experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on GRC or penetration testing.
· Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, or similar are a plus but not mandatory.
- Proven teaching or training experience, with the ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible and engaging manner.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students with diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
