Credit Manager at Reputable Rural Bank

A reputable Rural Bank located in the Eastern Region seeks to employ the services of a Credit Manager. Persons who meet the following criteria are invited to apply for the position.



Job Description



• The person shall prepare credit strategy of the bank

• The person shall prepare and deliver presentations and reports regarding key credit issues, exposures and the periodic credit review report to the CEO

• Prepare monthly credit report, submit all loans report to Credit References Bureaus and register all securities in the collateral registry

• Carry out regular credit facility reviews to ensure compliance with terms and conditions of the credit

• Monitor all loans and report on early warning signs to the Chief Executive Officer

• Maintain minimum loan recovery rate of 95% on monthly basis

• Achieve monthly recovery rate of 5% in respect of overdue loans



Qualification Required & Experience



• First Degree in a related field

• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CA, ACIB, CIMA, project management etc, and or Masters Degree in a related field is an added advantage

• Minimum of 10 years working experience in a similar position in the Rural Banking industry, with 4 years in Managerial position



Required Skills / Attributes



• Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

• Good planning, quantitative and analytical skills

• Strong computer literacy skills, (Knowledge in application of Emerge T24)

• Good understanding of IFRS9 credit impairment models



Reporting Line:



• The person shall report to the Chief Executive Officer

• Remuneration: Attractive compensation based on qualification and experience
