Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a wide range of continental dishes, including appetizers, main courses, and desserts.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation, adhering to established recipes and plating techniques.
- Participate in special events and catering services as required.
- Stay updated on industry trends and continuously seek ways to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a chef, preferably in a continental cuisine setting.
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating innovative dishes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
