Job Summary

The Content and Social Media Manager (CSMO) will be responsible for generating content and scripts for DKT AWA (Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone). The CSMO will work closely with the creative team to build content strategies, create targeted and relevant content, and distribute marketing communications to audiences both online and offline. He / She will work with/under the Senior Marketing Manager to support marketing operations and achievement of the company and programmatic targets.

Job Description/Requirements

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Creative team and Brand Officers/Managers to develop and execute content for Digital, Mass Media, BTL, and Trade campaigns, ensuring smooth production from concept to final output.
  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends and capitalize on those that align with our brand objectives.
  • Create compelling content that resonates with our target audience.
  • Oversee the management of all DKT AWA digital platforms, including websites, e-commerce sites, and social media channels.
  • Identify emerging digital platforms and technologies, providing strategic recommendations for new opportunities that could benefit our brands.


Other Duties:

  • Perform additional responsibilities as directed by the Senior Marketing Manager or Country Director, ensuring a high level of accountability and alignment with DKT’s strategic objectives.
  • Uphold confidentiality and integrity in all brand-related communications and business processes.


Position Objectives

  • Drive Brand Leadership: Strengthen the position of DKT brands as the leading contraceptive brands in Ghana, Liberia, and Sierra Leone, with a focus on making them the preferred choice for consumers seeking variety, quality, and fun.
  • Enhance ROI on Marketing Investments: Ensure efficient and maximum impact with cost-effective campaigns.
  • Achieve Awareness and Sales Targets: Contribute to achieving overall sales goals by executing impactful digital campaigns and strategies that will lead to conversions.
  • Cultivate Brand Loyalty: Foster consumer loyalty and preference for DKT Brands, leveraging new technology and platforms to meet different consumer needs.


Position Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Marketing, digital marketing or a related field, with a strong understanding of digital marketing and the various platforms.


Work Experience

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in social media management within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector or a related industry.


Statement of Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of West African youth demographics (Gen Z and Y).
  • Proficiency in modern marketing strategies, with a focus on Digital Marketing.
  • Expertise in social media management, particularly on platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
  • Up-to-date with current trends and industry best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of website management is a valuable asset.
  • Creative, strategic, and analytical thinking with the ability to juggle multiple projects.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Receptive to feedback and able to provide constructive criticism.
  • In-depth understanding of brand management and Public Relations principles.
  • Exceptional presentation skills.
