Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Chef will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, overseeing kitchen staff, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

  • Minimum Qualification : Vocational
  • Experience Level : Entry level
  • Experience Length : 2 years

Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a wide variety of dishes according to recipes and menus.
  • Ensure the quality and presentation of all dishes meet the establishment’s standards.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, and plating.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs.
  • Develop and test new recipes, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  •  Monitor and ensure proper food storage and handling procedures.
  • Collaborate with the management team to plan and execute special events and catering.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef or similar role in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent training and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creativity and a passion for food and hospitality.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Capability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 pounds).
  • Dexterity to use kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

 



Salary- GHS 2000
