Job Purpose: The Channel Analyst will play a key role in supporting the Business Development & Route to Market Team by providing data-driven insights and analyses that optimize our distribution strategy and enhance sales performance. This role involves analyzing sales data, tracking performance metrics, and supporting the design and implementation of sales incentives and distributor performance management. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of the FMCG landscape, and the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
Key Responsibilities
Your role will include:
Sales Data Management, Analysis & Insights:
- Analyze Sell-Out data with clear insights stated to drive decisions on Sell-In as well as activities to support business growth.
- Generate Insights into Channel based Activities with a view to improving rotations
- Share reports on daily Sell-Out across the business to give visibility to the numbers and create the needed forum for discussions on business performance
- Sampling Activity scorecard tracking for effectiveness and follow on distribution gap closure
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to track key performance indicators and sales metrics.
Sales Incentive Support:
- Assist in the design and implementation of sales incentive programs aimed at motivating and improving sales team performance.
Distributor Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor distributor performance and generate regular reports on key metrics and areas needing improvement.
- Support the preparation and management of distributor rebates, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
Return on Investment (ROI) Analysis:
- Channel Activity plan ROIs based on segmentation, Providing analytical guidance and support on Promotions.

Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales analytics or relevant professional equivalent roles within the FMCG industry.
- Proficiency in using data analytics tools, sales automation software, and dashboard reporting.
Skills
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, insights generation, and sales performance tracking.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of the FMCG market and distribution channels in Ghana is preferred.
