Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute catering services for events, ensuring that client expectations are met and exceeded.
- Develop tailored menus that reflect the client’s preferences while adhering to budget constraints and event themes.
- Oversee all aspects of catering operations, including logistics, setup, and staff management, to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Manage recruitment, training, and scheduling of catering staff to uphold high service standards.
- Maintain accurate financial records and oversee budgeting to ensure cost-efficiency in all catering operations.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards during preparation, transport, and service.
- Collaborate with external vendors and clients to ensure high-quality supplies and materials for events.
Qualifications and Specifications:
- Bachelor’s degree/HND in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or related field.
- 5+ years in catering or food service management.
- Experience in cooking for a large number of people.
- Experience in event planning, staff management, and catering logistics.
- Stroke 1 & 2
- Excellent cooking skills and ability prepare large volumes of food.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple events at once.
- Proven ability to manage large teams and ensure a high standard of service, even under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build positive client relationships.
- Proficiency in inventory management, budgeting, and cost control measures
This role is ideal for someone who can manage catering for large events while maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction.
