Cashier

Key Responsibilities
Transaction Handling

• Receive and process cash, credit card, and check transactions.
• Scan goods, verify pricing, and collect payments.
• Issue change, receipts, refunds, or tickets as required.
• Ensure the cash drawer is balanced at the beginning and end of each shift.

Customer Service

• Assist customers with inquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
• Guide customers on store policies and escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Ensure a friendly and positive experience for all customers.

Checkout & Store Maintenance

• Bag, box, or wrap purchased items carefully.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and tidy checkout area.
• Keep accurate records of all transactions.

Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare daily transaction reports and submit them to management.
• Follow all company policies regarding cash handling and customer service.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Minimum of Senior High School (SHS) certificate, HND or equivalent.
• Experience: Prior experience as a cashier or in customer service is an advantage.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Familiarity with electronic payment systems and POS machines.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
