Job Role: Business executive
The successful candidate should be able to define, articulate and implement the organisation's strategy for selling products or services. He/She should develop forecasts and strategies to achieve sales at price levels to ensure profitability. He/She is expected to actively seek out major customers and form good relationships with key influencers and buyers.
He/She should be knowledgeable of industry trends, market and competitors' activities, and serve as a business representative at major industry events, conferences or trade shows. He/She should lead presentations for business development and is involved in meetings with key business stakeholders. He/She is a team leader that is able to motivate and ensure a highly effective team of Sales managers.
He/She must have a strong influencing, problem-solving and negotiation skills and have a good understanding of market demand and customer purchasing behaviour. Ultimately, He/She is also required to build and maintain quality relationships with customers, stakeholders and other companies within the Group.
Tasks
Collaborate with members of the Marketing team to penetrate key markets.
Define the approach for the overall sale of new business and account retention.
Generating proposals that define a clear path to client satisfaction and revenue growth.
Establish customer relationship management (CRM) systems and guidelines to manage customer relationships.
Foster relationships with new partners to achieve desired revenue.
Participate in forums to keep abreast of new changes in the industry and practices.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
Understand category-specific landscapes and trends
Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts
Skills and Qualifications
HND/BSc. In any related field With minimum 2 years of proven sales executive experience and a track record of achieving and exceeding quota/targets
Possess extensive knowledge of sales principles and practices, and an ability to coach others on them
Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
Strength in problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
Proven ability to position products against competitors
Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
