Job Summary
• As our Business Development Manager, you will lead expansion initiatives across West Africa's mining sector, using technical expertise and business acumen to drive sustainable growth. This role is key in shaping market presence and developing long-term client partnerships
Key Responsibilities
• Achieve expected annual revenue growth through new client acquisition and expanding existing accounts
• Develop and execute quarterly business development strategies aligned with company goals and market opportunities
• Lead full-cycle business development, from identifying prospects to contract closure, ensuring a strong sales pipeline
• Create and present compelling technical and commercial proposals, highlighting our engineering solutions value
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with C-Level executives and decision-makers trends mining companies
• Analyse market trends, competitors and client needs to identify new service opportunities
• Collaborate with technical teams to develop innovative solutions tailored to client challenges
• Represent the company at key mining industry conferences and events
Qualification Required & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering or a related field
• Professional certifications in mining or business development are highly valued
• Master's degree (MBA) in business administration or a related field in an advantage
Professional experience
• 10+ years of experience in business development, sales or marketing within the mining sector
• Proven success in closing mining services deals
• Experience working with both surface and underground mining operations
• Strong understanding of mining industry trends, challenges and opportunities
Skills:
• Deep technical knowledge of mining operations, equipment and support services
• Expertise in mining business case development
• Strong business development, marketing and sales skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Ability to interpret technical mining data and translate it into business solutions
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
