Job Summary

A meticulous and results-oriented Audit Officer who will play a critical role by assisting the head of audit in strengthening internal controls, and enhancing operational efficiency through proactive audits and risk assessments.

Job Description/Requirements

The successful candidate shall:

  • Assist the head of audit to conduct regular internal audit exercise of the bank's financial, operational, and compliance functions to identify risks and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Review and analyze financial records, processes, and transactions for accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports with actionable recommendations and submit them to head of audit for review.
  • Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and report on progress to head of audit.
  • Assist in the development and updating of audit programs and procedures.
  • Conduct special investigations as assigned by the head of audit.
  • Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and auditing standards.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in auditing, preferably within a banking or financial services environment.


Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Sound knowledge of Ghana's banking regulations and auditing standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and auditing software.
  • T24 proficient
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ethical standards and a commitment to integrity.
  • Proactive and self-motivated.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality.
