Job Summary
The Agency Banking Territory Sales Manager is responsible for the acquisition, management, and performance optimization of agents within an assigned territory. This role involves driving growth and maintaining strong relationships with agents to support the bank’s strategic objectives in agency banking. It is also to ensure strict compliance with regulatory, customer experience and business development standards through effective monitoring and implementation for the Business Unit.
Job Description
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Accountability: Agent Acquisition and Relationship Management – 50%
- Identify potential agent locations and target businesses for recruitment.
- Ensure seamless acquisition and onboarding of agents and support them in the sales and service delivery of the bank products at the agent point.
- Provide relevant support to Agents to manage cash transactions and cash settlements
- Strategically plan and grow Agents in assigned territory whiles ensuring strong Agent relationship.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for agents within the territory, fostering strong, trust-based relationships.
- Conduct regular visits to agent locations to address concerns, gather feedback, and monitor performance.
- Provide ongoing support and training to help agents optimize transactions and service quality.
Accountability: Sales and Performance Monitoring and Reporting – 40%
- Develop and execute strategies to drive transaction volumes and profitability within the territory.
- Set and monitor sales targets for agents, analysing performance metrics and adjusting strategies as needed.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as transaction volume, agent activity, and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and present regular reports on territory performance, identifying trends, challenges, and growth opportunities.
- Ensure data accuracy and timely submission of all performance-related reports to management.
Accountability: Risk and Compliance Management – 10%
- Ensure that all agents comply with regulatory and internal policies, including anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) requirements.
- Conduct periodic audits and provide feedback to mitigate operational and compliance risks.
- Address any irregularities or non-compliant activities promptly, working with compliance and risk teams as necessary.
ROLE/ PERSON SPECIFICATION
Qualifications And Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 3-5 years in sales, relationship management, or agency banking within the financial services sector
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical skills for interpreting data and developing insights.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet sales targets.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
