Adjunct Lecturer (computer Science)

Job Summary/ Purpose:

BlueCrest College is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Adjunct/Part-Time Lecturer to teach courses in the ATHE Diploma in Information and Digital Technologies program. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering lectures, preparing course materials, assessing student performance, and providing academic support to students.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Design, prepare, and deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions to ensure students acquire both theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills.

• Develop curriculum and course materials that align with academic standards and can be effectively utilized across various learning platforms.

• Equip students with the necessary knowledge and competencies to confidently pursue and advance their careers in IT

• Leverage modern technology and collaborate with fellow lecturers to enhance teaching methodologies and continuously expand subject expertise.

• Assess, evaluate, and grade assignments and examinations in line with institutional assessment policies, providing constructive feedback to support student growth

• Supervise and guide student-led projects and innovations relevant to the field of study.

• Providing mentorship and support to students

Subject Expertise:

The lecturer will be responsible for teaching one or more of the following courses:

• Computer Programming
• Computing Mathematics
• Cyber Security
• Digital Technologies
• Emerging Technologies
• Mobile Application Development
• Web Development

Abilities and Skills:

• Excellent presentation skills, written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to design and develop the curriculum.

• Experience in teaching any of the above courses

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and management skills

• Advanced knowledge in the integration of future trends and technologies into IT frameworks

• Good team building and interpersonal skills

Industry Experience:

• Extensive hands-on experience in the listed courses
• Practical knowledge of industry-standard tools and frameworks.
• Worked in cybersecurity consulting, IT security management, Programming or related roles.

Qualification Requirements:

• A minimum of a BSC in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
