The Accounting Assistant position will be a key part of the Finance Department, and will be responsible for completing daily accounting data entry, preparing vouchers, filling all records, and assisting Finance team to complete day-to-day activities.
The Role and Responsibilities:
- Capture all daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Responsible for closing of daily Finance postings
- Ensure allocating all open transactions correctly in Customer/supplier accounts accurately and on a timely basis
- Checking retirement Imprests in SAP
- Sending and holding staff accountable on their imprests and retirements.
- Filing of documents properly in accordance with agreed processes
- To provide documents to the line manager for Internal and External Audits
- Perform any other duties ad hoc duties
Skills and Experience:
- 1st Degree or HND in accounting, finance or any business related courses.
- MS Office skills especially in Excel
- 1-2 years of financial experience
- Problem-solving and analytical ability.
- Effective time management and adaptability to changing priorities
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- A productive team player
- Excellent communication skills
