Job Summary

The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. This role involves analyzing financial data, overseeing budgeting and forecasting, and assisting with audits to ensure the company’s financial health and integrity.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.


Bookkeeping:

  • Maintain general ledger accounts.
  • Record and reconcile financial transactions.


Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor variances and provide insights for corrective actions.


Tax Preparation and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and laws.
  • Prepare and file tax returns.


Auditing:

  • Support internal and external audit processes.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.


Accounts Payable/Receivable Management:

  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
  • Monitor overdue accounts and follow up on collections.


Policy Implementation:

  • Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated on changes in financial laws and regulations.


Administrative Duties:

Office Management:

  • Oversee office supplies inventory and procurement.
  • Manage vendor and service provider relationships.


Documentation and Record-Keeping:

  • Maintain organized and up-to-date files for financial and administrative records.


Scheduling and Coordination:

  • Manage schedules, meetings, and travel arrangements for management.
  • Coordinate with other departments for smooth operations.


Human Resources Support:

  • Assist with onboarding new employees and maintaining personnel records.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace policies and procedures.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


Experience:

  • Proven experience in accounting and administrative roles
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
