Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain and manage accurate financial records, including sales, expenses, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Inventory Cost Management: Monitor and account for inventory costs, ensuring accurate valuations and minimizing discrepancies.
• Budgeting & Planning: Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets to control expenses and optimize profitability.
• Sales Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on sales trends and revenue performance to guide business decisions.
• Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
• Tax Compliance: Handle tax filings, VAT returns, and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
• Expense Management: Track and analyze expenses, recommending cost-effective measures.
• Payroll Processing: Prepare and process payroll for employees, ensuring accurate calculations and timely payments.
• Audit Support: Provide financial data and documentation for internal and external audits.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or other relevant tools).
• Strong knowledge of inventory and retail accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of local tax laws and regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in the retail or fashion industry is a plus.
• Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
